Netflix extends its device support with-in the Android app

Check out the latest updates to the Netflix app:

• Various minor bug fixes.
• Fixed application failure on startup when phone’s embedded storage space is almost full.
• Removed check that prevented attempt to playback on unsupported devices.
• Added support for LG Revolution, Motorola Droid and Casio G’zOne Commando C771.

That being said. you’ll notice that last bullet. Netflix has added additional support for three more devices. Nice to see them do this. This sets the list of supported devices at eight. The others being: HTC Incredible, HTC Nexus One, HTC Evo 4G, HTC G2, Samsung Nexus S. On top of this update, Netflix has removed the device check, that previously would not allow playback on devices that were unsupported. So i’d say download the app on your device, supported or not, and you just might get it to run.
