Millennial Media has released a new report on the global smartphone landscape for April 2011. They have reported that Android continues to roll over the competition with 53% impressions on the Millennial Media mobile ad network. Apple’s iOS came in second with 28% and RIM’s BlackBerry OS came in third with 16%. The numbers were much worse for Symbian, Windows, and others as they totaled under 4% impressions combined.
Apple continues to dominate in application revenues. Apple’s iOS represented 50% of the application platform mix on their network, but Android is close with 39% and RIM is way behind at 9%.
