Upset about having a device not on the Netflix list of supported handsets? It might be a long shot, but here’s something you can try. We’ve seen a number of non supported devices running the popular movie streaming application with a slightly modified version of the apk. The nice thing about this is there is no file tinkering on your part. Just try one of the two apk files below and see if you can get this bad boy up and running. The first apk disables device checking and the second is a slightly modified version as well. I think you’ve got a better shot at getting this to work on a rooted phone, but there have been some reports of it running on non-rooted devices as well. I attempted to get this to work on my T-Mobile G2x and the original Samsung Galaxy Tab with no luck. If you manage to get this to run on your device, please don’t hesitate to let us know in the comments below on whether or not you were successful, what device you’re using and if you’re rooted or not.
